Preferential new-fund time deposit rates published on Mox Bank's official website, checked on 2 October 2026. HKD: 2.65% for 3 months, 3% for 6 months, 3.1% for 9 months, 3.2% for 12 months and 3.2% for 24 months. USD: 3.35% for 1 month, 3.8% for 3 months, 3.85% for 6, 9 and 12 months. A limited-time USD offer pays 15% for 7 days and 6.8% for 30 days, subject to converting into USD at Mox's preferential exchange rate first. Mox advertises that interest on its time deposits is paid upfront at the moment the deposit is opened, and notes that its 'first in Hong Kong' description is based on a comparison of time deposit products offered to individual customers by 25 major local banks as at 20 November 2023.
Terms & Conditions
The offer requires new funds and must be placed through the Mox mobile app. Mox states that preferential rates are those published by the bank from time to time and that the rate actually applied is the one in force when the deposit is successfully opened; the bank may change rates without notice, so check the latest rates in the Mox app before transacting. If a deposit is withdrawn before maturity, the interest already received is deducted from the principal. Rates above were checked on the official website on 2 October 2026.
