Bank of China (Hong Kong) Cheers Card welcome offer. Basic welcome: HK$12,000 of cumulative qualifying spending earns 225,000 points, or HK$10,000 earns 150,000 points. Extra welcome: new BOC credit card customers who hold a BOC Wealth or Private Wealth account earn an additional 75,000 points, for up to 300,000 points in total. At the official conversion rates (250 points = HK$1 cash rebate, 15 points = 1 mile), 300,000 points are worth about HK$1,200 cash rebate or 20,000 miles, and can also be redeemed for a designated Seoul round-trip economy ticket. There is also a supplementary card welcome reward of up to 100,000 points (25,000 points plus an extra 25,000 points). For everyday spending, HK$5,000 of cumulative retail spending each month unlocks 10X points on dining, travel and pet rewards spending — equivalent to HK$1.5 per mile or 4% cash rebate.
Terms & Conditions
Welcome points apply only to qualifying spending made during the promotion period and require new BOC credit card customer status. The extra 75,000 points are only for new BOC credit card customers holding a BOC Wealth or Private Wealth account. Unless otherwise stated, the promotion runs from now until 31 December 2026; the supplementary card welcome period runs until 30 September 2026. Annual fees are HK$2,000 / HK$3,800 (first year waived) and applications must meet the specified income or asset requirements.
